Abstract

The process of becoming an adult is generally going in urbanized environments nowadays. Speaking of children’s community and particularly about teenagers as a separate group, the question on their interactions with the urban space comes. The city is a place for meetings and hanging out. It gains one of the leading roles in the teenager’s socialization. In the last few years, the problem of comfort city has been extensively discussing. Discourse on child-friendly cities also takes place in these debates. It raises a variety of the topics such as safety in the urban space, marginalization of teenagers, independent mobility, etc. This discussion aims to pose the questions connected to the process of teenagers and the city interactions, to teenager’s strategies of reclaiming urban space and spatial segregation.
