Citizens’ Perceptions of Zaryadye Park

Abstract

This essay, about the newly-opened Zaryadye Park, traces how “the main park of the country” appropriates its spatial typology and accumulates its symbolic value. The outcomes presented were discussed during the anthropological workshop “Moscow Metamorphoses”, conducted at the Graduate School of Urbanism, NRU HSE, and is based on the arguments of experts and citizens.
