Нечеловеческие животные в городских пространствах
Аннотация
В статье обсуждается взаимодействие нечеловеческих животных с человеческими животными в городских пространствах и конфликты, возникающие из-за этих взаимодействий. Выдвигается предположение, что эти конфликты часто возникают из-за того, что городские пространства спроектированы и контролируются людьми без учета потребностей и агентности животных и утверждается, что антропоцентрическая перспектива, доминирующая в современной политической теории города, часто приводит к исключению, контролю или уничтожению нечеловеческих животных, если они разрушают установленный человеком порядок.
Автор выступает за признание нечеловеческих животных законными городскими обитателями, обладающими правом влиять на организацию городского пространства, что предполагает включение и интеграцию нечеловеческих животных в политические процессы, признание их агентности и возможность влиять на формирование города посредством выражения потребностей и интересов. Предполагается, что это может привести к более гармоничным взаимодействиям между людьми и животными в городских пространствах, что превратит город в межвидовое пространство. Автор ставит под вопрос традиционные представления о городском развитии и управлении и призывает к пересмотру отношений между людьми и животными в городском пространстве.
