Переосмысляя территорию
Аннотация
Территория является важнейшим атрибутом государства и, как представляется, приобретает все большее политическое значение. Она также является одним из ключевых географических понятий, но избежала того значительного критического внимания, которое уделяется родственным географическим понятиям, и остается недостаточно теоретически осмысленной. Развивая идею Тимоти Митчелла о том, что государство следует понимать как эффект социальных практик, автор утверждает, что феномен, который принято называть «территорией», не является ни незыблемой основой государственной власти, ни тем более выражением биологического императива. Вместо этого территорию тоже следует интерпретировать как эффект. Этот «эффект территории» лучше всего понимать как результат сетевых социотехнических практик. Таким образом, нынешнее возрождение интереса к территории совершенно не опровергает и не фальсифицирует сетевые теории пространственности, а, наоборот, само по себе может рассматриваться как продукт реляционных сетей. Опираясь на эмпирический пример мониторинга региональной экономической эффективности посредством измерения валовой добавленной стоимости (ВДС), я показываю, что «территория» и «сеть» не являются, как это часто представляется, несоизмеримыми и конкурирующими принципами пространственной организации, а тесно связаны между собой.
